What are eavestroughs?
Eavestroughs, or rain gutters, are channels along the edge of your roof that collect rainwater and carry it away from your foundation, preventing erosion and leaks. The water runs down a downspout and is discharged or collected in a rain barrel.
What is fascia?
Fascia is the long, straight board along the lower edge of your roof, fixed to the roof trusses. It supports the bottom row of roofing and the eavestroughs.
What are soffits?
Soffits sit under the fascia and ventilate the roof, preventing the condensation that makes roofing materials decay.
